"Wretch! Scum! The Earth will spit you out!". H12’s first short film deals with an unpleasant subject: death. Or rather, the after-death. Three barflies come face to face with eternal condemnation and the inescapable prison of the self. This doesn’t change their daily habits or their perception of reality in the slightest. If there is humor, then it’s black, with surreal and grotesque nuances. The visual experimentation comes from alternating digital HDV camera with Super8 film and digital camera shots. The story’s linearity is interrupted by flashbacks and fast flash-forwards that allow the use of different types of editing: from traditional to the connotative one, from the hyper-fast rhythmic to the sequence shot, all the way to the photographic pixilation.
